The Public Service Commission (PSC) has shared an important update regarding the 2024 Administrative Officers Examination for April 2024. The Administrative Officers Examination will be held between Monday 22nd to Friday 26th April 2024. Candidates will be notified of the actual venues after registration. The candidates for the Administrative Officer exams should register way before the said dates to be ready just in case to avoid rush hours.
The examinations will only be done at the centers shared by the Public Service Commission. The actual venues can however be only confirmed by the commission once the candidate has registered for examination.
Eligibility for Registration of 2024 Administrative Officers Examinations
To qualify to sit for the examinations, you need the following: –
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences from a recognized university
- Be a serving Administrative Officer who has completed an induction course
- Have served as an Administrative Officer for a minimum period of six (6) months

Requirements for Registration for the Examinations
An Administrative Officer who is applying to sit for the Administrative Officers Examination by the Public Service Commission for the first time should provide certified copies of the following documents: –
a) Appointment Letter as an Administrative Officer
b) National Identity Card
c) Academic Certificates
d) Evidence of having attended an induction course lasting not less than one month
e) Two (2) colored passport size photographs on a white background
Administrative Officers Examinations Registration Fees
The PSC according to the PSC. EXAM/1/VOL.11 dated 3rd May 2018, the examination registration fees for the examinations is as outlined below.

Each candidate must attempt all eight (8) papers during the first sitting. The registration fee is paid through the eCitizen platform as outlined below.
a) In your mobile browser or PC browser, search for eCitizen or simply go to https://psc.ecitizen.go.ke and login using your eCitizen login credentials.
b) Select the PSC Examinations and Click on Apply Now
c) Go through the registration requirement and click Next, the personal details will be populated from eCitizen
d) Select if it is the first time or a resit and select the type of examination (those resitting should select the appropriate subjects for the resit)
e) Select Examination Centre
f) Click on Complete Payment after paying the registration fees and download the invoice/receipt for both the government copy and customer copy. Remember toa lso download the duly filled registration form that is also downloadable from the same portal.
