Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Kenya (ODPP) is seeking to recruit 30 individuals to fill up the position of Clerical Officer II at ODPP. Clerical Officer II Qualifications

To submit your application for Clerical Officer II, you need the following qualifications to apply.

  • KCSE Certificate

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) grade C Plain;
  • Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution; and
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010; Integrity, Honesty, and Accountability.

Duties & Responsibilities of Clerical Officer II at ODPP

An officer at this level may be deployed at any of the Departments at the Headquarters or County Offices. Specifically, duties and responsibilities will include:

  1. Maintaining an efficient filing system;
  2. Posting different entries in relevant ledgers and requisitions as per the ODPP procedures and providing information used to monitor the utilization of resources in the institution;
  3. Drafting simple correspondences as advised;
  4. Compiling simple statistical records based on routine or special sources of information;
  5. Receipt and record entry and exit of office information material;
  6. Sort and distribute incoming mail;
  7. Entry of data in computer regarding prosecution cases;
  8. Update and maintain databases as directed to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information;
  9. Confirm the mention and hearing notices, fixing hearing and mention dates with the courts;
  10. Give feedback on issues observed in the delivery of work;
  11. Open and retrieve files as directed; and
  12. Operate photocopiers, scanners, personal computers and voicemail systems.
