HELB TVET Subsequent Loan & Scholarship Deadline

Higher Education Loans Board has officially opened the 2024/2025 TVET Subsequent Loan and Scholarship Applications. The application is for continuing students placed in TVET institutions to pursue Artisan, Certificate, Diploma and Higher Diploma. Students who were awarded HELB loans in the 2023/2024 academic year can now apply for subsequent loans for the following year in this case the 2024/2025. In this article, we outline the TVET Subsequent Loan application deadline and also procedure on how to apply for TVET subsequent loan.

The deadline for the TVET subsequent loan set on 31st December 2024. This is similar to the applications for first time applicants as well. TVET students can apply up to the deadline. However, consider that HELB awards and disburses loans based on the time of application i.e., on a first come first served basis.

Requirements to Apply for TVET Subsequent Application

• One MUST have applied for HELB loan and awarded the loan
• One should have a number registered in your names
• Pursuing an Artisan, Certificate, Diploma Course at a TVET institution in Kenya
• Have Data if you intend to use HELB app
• Have Airtime if you use the *642# USSD

How to Apply for TVET Subsequent and Scholarship Loan

Only Students who have applied for subsequent HELB loan can get the loan in subsequent year. Therefore it is just right that student submit their application for 2024/2025 TVET subsequent loan. The deadline for the application is 31st December 2024.

• Download HELB App from Play Store or Dial *642#
• Register using phone number that bears your names
• Read the terms and conditions or just confirm you have read them
• Enter your first name, ID number, and email address to complete the registration
• Select Scholarship & Loans Application and select Diploma/Certificate under Undergraduate Second and Subsequent Scholarship Loan
• Confirm that you’ve read the terms and select proceed. Enter the phone number and ID number to verify you’re the owner.
• Select Loan to view and review the details and select how you intend to receive the loan and click on Submit
• A message will be sent to the phone number confirming the loan has been applied successfully with a serial number.
