Are you a Kenyan who pursued their higher education in an institution outside Kenya? Or did you study outside but would wish to work in Kenya? Well, before employment your certificates need to be equated in Kenya. Equation of Certificates in Kenya is done by KNEC through the QMIS Portal. Equation of any foreign documents in Kenya is done by the Kenya National Examination Council. The council equates the certificate to Kenyan standards and gives a letter of the equation. In this article, you will learn how to apply for Equation of Certificates using the QMIS Portal.
Upon approval of the application, one should pay for the equation with the payment procedure given on the QMIS portal. The letter of the equation in Kenya is issued by the Commission for University Education. They can recognize your degree or reject it based on the institution of higher learning you attended.
The payment details provided on the QMIS portal are usually in the form of mobile money. There’s an M-PESA paybill number belonging to the Council and an account number for the same. Up on payment, the council then communicates to the Commission that issues the equation letter.
