And these services are offered at a fee and some go up to Kshs. 30 per SMS. This can inconvenience especially when you top up and immediately the credit is deducted by these services. In this article, you will learn how to cancel Safaricom premium SMS services at once. These services can only be stopped by Safaricom by unsubscribing from those services.
These services sometimes you subscribe to them without knowing. Therefore it is good that you know how to get rid of them as they are costing. By the end of the article, you will be able to stop Safaricom premium SMS services for good.
How to cancel Safaricom Premium Services (the Procedure)
To cancel Premium Services on Safaricom, please follow the following:-
- On your phone dial *100#
- Select option 5 My Subscriptions
- Then Choose option 1 – My Active Subscriptions
- You will see the active subscriptions you have on your phone and the amount they charge per day
- Select the subscription you wish to unsubscribe from or stop receiving messages from
- Then reply with 1 to Unsubscribe
- You will receive a message from Safaricom confirming the unsubscription. You can redial *100# to confirm if the subscription has been deleted or not.
Additionally, stopping promotional messages is easy and you can stop them as well by blocking the shortcode that sends the messages. This will allow you to stop receiving promotion messages that you’re not privy to.
To stop the Promotional Messages just follow the same procedure then select promotional messages and select 2 Stop All promo messages or you can stop by Sender Name. That will allow you to stop all promo messages. You can also check those you stopped and activate some that you probably stopped.
