eCitizen Kenya is the government’s one-stop shop for all services. Just recently, the government directive saw NTSA services moved from NTSA TIMS to NTSA Platform on eCitizen. Renewal of driving license is now done online via eCitizen, Vehicle Booking as well is also done online on the eCitizen Portal. But how does one not access eCitizen? The security features of eCitizen were upped to initiate OTPs every time you log in to the eCitizen portal for any services. In this article, find out how to change the eCitizen phone number registered on eCitizen for OTP purposes.
Changing this number can be hectic at times. But the procedure is simple for those logged in. For those who do not have the previous number. eCitizen uses email addresses as well when it comes to OTP. Make sure you have access to any of them. We will also share if you do not remember the email or have the phone number.
How to Change eCitizen Phone Number (Those Loggedin)
Those who can access their eCitizen account through email can still log in even if they lack the number. In this section, you will learn how to change the eCitizen number once you’re logged in. The procedure is simple and has nothing hard to follow.
- Open your PC or Phone browser
- Type in the eCitizen link or click on https://accounts.ecitizen.go.ke
- Once loaded click on Login to log in to the eCitizen Account
- Enter your ID number and password and request OTP, key in the OTP to log in. You can also turn off the OTP prompts here.
- Once logged in click on Account Management just as My Profile
- Click on Change just after the phone number and key in your eCitizen Password
- Once done, an OTP is sent to the registered email. Enter the OTP to be able to update the phone number.
- Enter the new eCitizen Phone number and request an OTP to be sent to the new number.
- Key in the received OTP then Submit to save the new number
How to change eCitizen Phone Number if forgotten the Number
The above procedure works for those who can access their eCitizen account. If you can’t log in because you don’t have the number or the email, kindly use the following details to have your eCitizen number changed.
- Visit any Huduma Centre countrywide and ask to have the number changed for you. It can take up to 24 hours for this to be effected.
- Send an email to eCitizen Help and Support Desk via support@ecitizen.go.ke note, it takes like forever for this to be worked on but it works.
- Call +254207903260 the eCitizen Phone Number and request for the number to be changed. If you manage to go through the number is changed within 1 – 5 minutes of the call.
