Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service alias KUCCPS has opened the second revision of courses for those who did not secure a chance in the first revision. The application for the second revision will be open until 4th April 2024. KUCCPS has urged those who failed to secure a place and those who failed to apply to do so before the deadline to be considered. But how does one know if they have been placed or secured placement? In this article, we share how to check KUCCPS Placement Status online for those who secured placement.
The current process does not give you the institution and course you have been placed in. However, it tells you to chill as the board has provisionally placed you in one of the courses you applied for. The final placement will come after the final revision is finalized before admission letters can be prepared.
Those placed in KMTC for the March intake have received their admission letters. The others who did not secure chances can still apply for placement into other programmes if they qualify.
Requirements to Check KUCCPS Placement Status Online
Someone told me they had not received the SMS from KUCCPS. And it seems KUCCPS will not be doing that for those who have secured placement. You need the following details to check the KUCCPS placement status.
- KCSE Index Number (the username)
- Year of Examination
- KCPE Index Number or Birth Certificate Number (the password)
How to Check KUCCPS Placement Status Online
The procedure can be done using even a smartphone. As long as you have the data and the requirements above, you can confirm the status. The procedure is as follows; –
- Open your device browser i.e. PC or Smartphone
- In the browser you can type the KUCCPS website or go directly to the KUCCPS Student Portal account using the link https://students.kuccps.net/ and click on Login
- Once the next page is fully loaded, enter the KCSE Index Number, Year of Examination and the KCPE Index number as the password and click on Login
- On the KUCCPS Student Portal dashboard, the placement status is displayed just above the cluster table if you’ve secured a chance or not.
