In the wake of COVID-19 in the year 2019 up to date, any person intending to travel need a COVID-19 vaccination certificate. Many Kenyans and other individuals in other countries were subjected to vaccination against COVID. In Kenya, vaccinations were done by the Ministry of Health in specific medical facilities. Requirements to Download the COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate

To download, the COVID vaccination certificate, an individual intending to download the certificate needs to have the following with them.

1. MUST have been vaccinated against COVID-19
2. Have an ID card number or passport number or birth certificate number
3. A Valid phone number
4. A valid and working email address

How to Register on the Ministry of Health Online Portal

The Ministry of Health Self Service Portal includes the Chanjo Portal where individuals can access the COVID certificate. There are other portals like DamuKE, AfyaKE portal and so many more. Below is how to register on the MOH Self Service Portal i.e. the Chanjo Portal.

• Open your device browser
• In the URL bar type in the Ministry of Health website i.e. https://www.health.go.ke/ and locate the MOH Self Service Portal – https://portal.health.go.ke/
• Click on Register at the top right corner or click https://portal.health.go.ke/register.  You can register with eCitizen or fill the details required or click
• Select the Identification Type i.e. ID, Birth Cert, Passport etc and key in the identification document number
• Fill in the email though optional and pick a password for yourself and click on Register

How to Download the COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate through MOH Portal

Once, you have registered you can login to the MOH Self Service Portal using the ID number and the password you just set. Here is how to download the vaccination certificate.

• Open your browser
• In the URL enter the Minstry of Health Self Service Portal – https://portal.health.go.ke/
• Login with the ID number and password you set
• On the portal, on the left sidebar menu locate the Vaccination Certificate
• Click on Print Certificate
