How to transfer Money from Family Bank Account to M-PESA

Family Bank is one of the oldest banks in the Republic of Kenya. The commercial bank has grown over the years to amass branches all over Kenya from just 1 branch in the year 1985. The bank opened its doors in the year 1984, however, it became a fully fledge commercial bank in 2007. In this article, you will learn how to transfer money from Family Bank account to M-PESA. This can be done to any M-PESA number not necessarily yours as long as it is registered with Safaricom’s M-PESA service.

Mobile Banking has simplified ways in which banking is done. This also has enabled people to directly deposit to their Family Bank account using M-PESA or just their phones. Thanks to the Family Bank Paybill Number, any individual can deposit money from M-PESA to any Family Bank account at a lesser fee.

Requirements to Transfer Money from Family Bank to M-PESA

To perform this transfer from the bank account to M-PESA, you need the requisite information or activation to be able to do it. You need to have the Pesapap Application from Family Bank or have activated the USSD banking by Family Bank. This procedure assumes that you already have activated your mobile banking or your Pesapap App. Kindly follow to the end using *325#: –

• Open your Mobile Phone and open the Dialer
• Key in the USSD code *325# and call
• Wait for the USSD menu to appear
• Select M-PESA menu from the displayed list
• Select Family Bank to M-PESA option display
• Next choose either Own Number to transfer to yourself or Other Number to transfer to another number and enter the new number
• Key in the Amount you wish to transfer
• Complete the transaction by entering your M-Banking PIN
• You will receive confirmation from Family Bank confirming the transaction and another one from M-PESA doing the same.
