IG Sacco Society Limited is one of the best top-managed tier 1 Saccos in the country, registered on 3rd August 1977 with an initial membership of 115. Its area of operation is the Republic of Kenya with members spread across the country, though concentrated in the former Western Province. The Sacco currently operates from the head office in Kakamega town with seven (7) Branches spread in Kakamega and Vihiga counties, thus Serem, Luanda, and Mbale Branches in Vihiga County, Mumias, Butere, Malava and Lumakanda Branches in Kakamega County.
Original members of the Sacco were teachers in Primary and Secondary Schools and KNUT. The IG Sacco has the head office located in Kakamega which later changed the name to Invest & Grow shorted as IG Sacco. The Head Office is located in Kakamega County.
