Inside the #BlackFridayNaFaiba Deals; Neon Smarta & Neon Ultra

Safaricom PLC in partnership with other companies such as Faiba partnered to launch the locally assembly Neon Smarta and Neon Ultra. Well, we are all familiar with Safaricom’s Neon devices backdating to the era of the Neon Smart Kicka, then came the Neon Ray and so much more. Faiba is running the #BlackFridayNaFaiba deal to get the devices off their shelves with data deals according to their X (Twitter) ad.

These devices have been locally assembled as per say, seem like devices that have been in Kenya for a while despite the launch recently. These devices do not have the best of the specifications. The only good deal worth checking out is their pricing which to many seems to be affordable given the pricing changed with the introduction of excise duty.

Faiba Neon Smarta

The Faiba Neon Smarta is not any different from an entry-level smartphone with a 5-inch device screen. Quite a small screen that doesn’t seem to be a selling point at this time. The device also comes with DUAL SIM support with Faiba 4G SIM locked. The phone has a dual camera setup; a single camera on either side with 5MP rear and 2MP front cameras. The device comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage and a 3000mAh battery pack.

The Neon Smarta device is available at a the price of Kshs. 7,599/= at Faibashop.com. Alongside the price comes a Faiba deal of Kshs. 2,000 worth of data translating to 65GB on Faiba SIM once activated.

Faiba Neon Ultra

This is another unit sold alongside the Faiba Neon Smarta as the company prefers to call it. The device seems superior in terms of size. It also has slightly better cameras. The device offers a 6.5-inch display screen according to the specs shared on the shop link. The device runs Android Go and features 8MP back and 5MP front cameras. It has 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. It does support 4G VoLTE and this is not locked to any network with its dual SIM support. The battery is capped at 3000mAh.

The Neon Smarta as well comes with a 65GB data deal on purchase upon activation of the Faiba 4G SIM. The phone is available at Kshs. 10,799/=
