QMS or QMIS is the Query Management System by Kenya National Examination Council that allows candidates and other individuals to access services that would otherwise be done at the offices. QMIS allows individuals to modify details on their certificates, change photos, follow up on payment issues and also confirmation of results etc. The KNEC QMIS Portal is an online portal that simplifies applications for confirmation of results. It also allows requests for results for those who have lost their certificates as well.

The KNEC Query Management System is open system that requires one to register. A password is then sent to the registered email. Only the email and the password sent can be used to login to the KNEC QMS portal. This article outlines the KNEC QMIS Portal services that can be done online.

It also allows individuals to check status of their application and be able to pay the required processing fees. Application on QMS requires documents to facilitate in processing of the services. For lost certificates, this would include police Abstract, National ID, passport photo, confirmation of names letter and so much more.

How to Register on the KNEC QMIS Portal

To access the services offered on the KNEC QMS portal one has to register on the portal. This part of the article, confirms and outlines how one can register on the QMIS Portal. All you need is an active email, phone number, names, etc.

  • Open any browser on your PC or Phone
  • In the address bar search for KNEC QMIS Portal or simply click the link https://qmis.knec.ac.ke
  • Once the portal has loaded, it will ask for email and password. If not registered click on the Register Link to access the QMIS Portal registration
  • In the loaded page, enter full names, phone number, postal address, title/designation i.e. student, candidate, headteacher etc, fill in your active email address and confirm it
  • Click on Register
  • Upon successful registration, the login details are sent to the email confirm for the password to access the portal.

  • Open your Mobile or PC Browser
  • In the browser url bar, search for the QMIS Portal or click on https://qmis.knec.ac.ke
  • Wait for the portal to load. Once loaded, enter the email and the password send to your email during registration
  • Click on Login
