KUCCPS has opened applications for the first revision of courses for applicants who never applied and those who applied but didn’t succeed in placement. Those who had applied earlier will have to use the same payment details and will not be required to pay again. However, fresh applicants who didn’t apply in February will have to apply for placement and will have to pay Kes. 1500. KUCCPS opens first revision of courses which will run until April 2024.
Kenya Universities and Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) allows applicants to submit their course choices for both degrees and TVET (Diploma, Certificate, and Artisan) courses. For all the courses regardless of the level, the application fee is the same across the board. Payment is made through eCitizen and the account number is generated by the system. There are basic requirements for each course and also the cluster points for each course this time are higher than last time.
KUCCPS applicants will need to choose only courses they are qualified for and meet the minimum cluster requirements. Otherwise, they may miss out again and that will mean that no other application especially for the degree will be opened again. Those who succeeded can check the KUCCPS placement status.
Requirements for KUCCPS First Revision of Courses
To submit courses for first revision, candidates or students need to be armed with the following. They should be able to know by now the course they need to do or qualify in terms of grade and cluster points.
- KCSE Index Number – which is essential when logging into the system as the username
- KCSE Year of Examination to differentiate between the students who sat for examinations in the same school but in different years and share index numbers.
- KCPE Index Number or Birth Certificate number – used as the password to allow login to the KUCCP Student Portal.
How to Revise KUCCPS Courses
- Visit the KUCCP Student Portal using the link – https://students.kuccps.net/
- Login using the KCSE Index Number, Year of Examination and KCPE index number then click on Login
- Click on Applications and click on the first table Apply. At this point make sure you have the course codes. If not, click on programmes and find out the courses you qualify for and the clusters.
- Enter the KUCCP Program Codes for each field. You can fill only one if you certainly fit the qualifications
- Click on Submit and enter the Payment Reference number if already paid in the previous application. Or simply click on Pay Now to go to the payment page. Confirm payment and key in the Payment Account Number.
