KUCCPS opened applications for placement for KCSE students to their favorite programs in degree, diploma, certificate courses. There are specific instructions that guide the application process through KUCCPS. In this article you will find the KUCCPS Student Application Instructions for 2024. Please read the following instructions carefully before applying for placement. The portal is currently open for application for TVET programmes, targeting KCSE candiKUCCPSdates from the year 2000 to 2022.
Eligibility
This entails the people who qualify to apply for placement through the KUCCPS Student Application Portal. Only the following individuals qualify.
- Only Kenyan Citizens are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must possess Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results.
Application Process
- All programmes have minimum requirements. You will only be able to apply for a course whose minimum requirements you meet. Placement will be done on merit and choices. Your likelihood of getting the course that you apply for will depend on your performance, the number of applicants for the same course and the available capacity for the course.
- You may view the available programmes and their requirements by clicking the Programmes tab. You can also search for courses by institution, using the Institutions tab above.
- Once you have decided on your preferred courses, you will be required to enter the Programme Codes only.
- To apply, use the Application/Revision tab. Enter the Programme Codes in the provided form. The form has blank slots for submitting four courses. You are required to type the programme codes of your preferred courses into the provided spaces, which are numbered from 1 to 4. Arrange the courses in your order of priority, starting with your most preferred course at number 1. (You may choose to apply for courses at one level only e.g. Diploma/Certificate or two levels e.g. Diploma and Certificate or Certificate and Artisan by turning turning the Multiple Category Consideration button to “YES”.)
- Once you have entered the programme codes for all the courses that you want, click Submit.
- You will be required to pay Ksh 1,500 and the portal will display the payment instructions.
Payment Procedure
- On clicking the Submit button in the online application form, a pop-up will be displayed with a “Proceed to Pay” link to the payment platform.
- Click on the Proceed to Pay link that will take you to the payment platform.
- Choose your preferred payment method from the provided options (M-PESA, Kenya Commercial Bank, RTGS, Airtel Money) and proceed to pay as provided for each method.
- For M-PESA, click on the respective button and the payment details will be displayed that include Business Number (222222), a random Account Number and the expected amount. Enter your M-PESA PIN and Send. (The payment platform also provides for STK push.)
- Use the Account Number provided by e-Citizen to submit the application. DO NOT use the MPESA transaction code.
Note: The same Account Number will be required for any subsequent changes to your application. Therefore, you are advised to retain it.
After you have successfully paid and submitted, the system will display a message indicating that the application was successful.
On the Dashboard, you will see your successful application.
