Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology popularly known as MMUST is the oldest university in Western Kenya. The University was founded through Harambee spirit on 5th January 1972, as Western College of Arts and Applied Sciences (WECO) under the stewardship of the former fiery MP, Masinde Muliro. As chairman of the project executive committee, Muliro worked with Prof. Reuben J. Olembo (then Head, Department of Botany University of Nairobi) as secretary. The University has grown over the years and given birth to new universities such as Kibabii University in Bungoma, Kaimosi Friends University, and others. The institution offers training in Degree Programmes and others at the level of Diploma, Certificate, and Postgraduate. How to Apply for Admission to MMUST Degree Courses
MMUST has an online application portal for application of all courses be it Certificate, Diploma, Degree, and Postgraduate Courses. Check out the MMUST Online Application Portal.
Requirements for Online Application
1. A valid Personal Email Address and Password for the student
2. Scanned application fee payment slip
3. Scanned Academic Testimonials (e.g. Result Slips, certificates, etc.)
Procedure for Application
- Login in to the website www.mmust.ac.ke and Click on Online Course Application. If you’re a first-time user click on Create User Account. Use the same password as that of Email.
- Login to your email address and click on the link to verify the account
- After activation, login to your user account (Enter Email & Password) and follow the instructions by filling in all appropriate information
- After filling in the personal details, fill in the education background and upload certificates.
- Select the course and campus you wish to apply and upload the application fee payment slip.
- Complete application process
- Print an acknowledgment slip
