Renewal of Clinical Officers License using the CoC Online Portal

For Clinical Officers in Kenya, before they can practice they need to have been registered and licensed by the Clinical Officers Council. Apart from registration, they also need a practicing license which is renewed every 2 years. This means that it is an offense to practice as a Clinical Officer without a valid license. The Clinical Officers Council (CoC) is mandated with managing the Clinical Officers and institutions accredited to offer such training. It also publishes lists of hospitals accredited to offer internships to clinical Officers. The portal has many other functions that are not limited to the renewal of a Clinical Officer license alone. • Have a valid email and username used when registering on the Clinical Officers Council portal
• Password to the same COC Portal
• The facility name

How to Renew Clinical Officers License

The following procedure gives a step-by-step guide to renewing the practicing license for Clinical Officers. The procedure can be done even on the phone. There’s no need for a PC or visiting with this procedure you can do it yourself.

• Open your Browser on a PC or Smartphone
• In the address bar locate the clinical officer’s council website or simply click on https://portal.clinicalofficerscouncil.org
• Once loaded, it will prompt you for login details i.e. username/email and password used. Enter the details and click on Login. If you do not remember the details, click on Forgot Password to reset them
• Once logged in check out the left menu and click on the Renewals
• Confirm the email and phone number, type your workstation, and select the employer.
• Once submitted, a payment page will be displayed, pay the required amount of Kshs. 3050 for renewal through eCitizen
