Requirements to Add Organization on NTSA eCitizen

With the introduction of the NTSA services on eCitizen it becomes a little bit hard to manage vehicles that are owned by companies. Since the shutdown of the previous TIMS portal the new NTSA Portal on eCitizen requires authorization to be able to add it on the eCitizen. In this article you will find out the requirements to add an organization to the new NTSA platform on eCitizen.

This requires the company either through the owner or another appointed person to be authorized to run the NTSA services on behalf of the company. This means that an individual or the company’s director can do the task but requires approval from the NTSA side to be able to manage the organization vehicles on NTSA on eCitizen. The process would take some 3 – 5 days for approval and once it is approved an individual will be able to switch between personal account and the organization account.

Requirements to add an Organization to NTSA Portal on eCitizen

First things first, before you can add, the individual to transact NTSA business should have a registered eCitizen account. Once an eCitizen exists they can add the organization and wait for approval by NTSA. No payment to NTSA is involved and removing the same authorization has to be done at the NTSA offices.

The Documents Required for this purpose include:-

  • Company Registration Certificates and KRA PIN
  • Minutes of the company appointing the authorized person
  • Copy of CR12
  • Sworn Affidavit for the same

How to add Organization to NTSA on eCitizen

The documents required are shared above. But how does one go about doing this business? We share a procedure on how to add a company or business entity to eCitizen’s NTSA Portal. Follow the steps outlined below.

  • Open your browser on a PC preferably but on a phone, it works too.
  • Open the eCitizen Account, key in your ID and password, and enter the authorization OTP to be able to access the services
  • Once logged in, click on National Transport and Safety Authority (New) and grant access by clicking on Continue. Wait for it to load fully (the NTSA Portal) Requirements to Add Organization on NTSA eCitizen
  • Click on Add Organization at the top right corner and key in the company registration number and click on Search. Be sure to be logged into the eCitizen of the authorized person.
  • Proceed to select the level of access granted i.e. owner, official, representative, etc. Click on Next
  • On the next page upload the minutes of the authorization meeting, the certificate of Incorporation of the company, the Sworn Affidavit, and the company
