The Bungoma National Polytechnic is the former Sang’alo Institute of Science and Technology. The institution had its level elevated when President William Ruto visited Bungoma County. The institution has also redesigned its logo which now looks somehow more professional than the previous one when it was still Sang’alo Institute. The Bungoma National Polytechnic became a public Institution in 1993 then called Sang’alo Institute of Science and Technology. Its governance was put under the management of a Board of Governors appointed by the Minister for Education Science and Technology.
